Customer complains full Irish served at luxury Irish hotel is ‘abomination’ that ‘should be illegal’

A person staying at a luxury hotel in Dublin over the weekend has issued a scathing complaint over the full Irish breakfast they were served.

The customer said they paid €220 to stay at the unnamed four-star hotel recently, plus an extra €40 to get the grub delivered to their room.

Sharing a picture of their breakfast on Reddit Ireland, they wrote: “This abomination of a ‘full irish’ that I got at a Dublin hotel this morning.”

On the plate was sausages, bacon, hash browns, a tomato, eggs, black and white pudding - and controversially, a salad.

This sparked outrage with hundreds of people taking to the comments to share their opinion.

“Isn't it illegal to serve someone salad for breakfast or something?” one person asked, to which another replied: “Not illegal, but I think they can be held liable civilly. Putting that on a breakfast is a sure way to cause emotional distress.”

Someone else joked: “The only green in a big dirty fry should be a bit of a hedge that fell off your head after a mad session the night before.”

Another person wrote: “I'm actually offended by the fact this is being called a full Irish. €40.... for that? Jaysus! And then salad on the plate too... talk about adding insult to injury! One f**kin rasher... nah. If we were American I'd tell ye to sue for emotional damages and hate crimes against real Irish frys!”

Others took issue with the size of the puddings, as well as the plate the food came on.

“The size of the pudding is dismal,” one person said.

Another added: “That plate looks like it's made of that ceramic nonsense that would make your skin crawl every time the cutlery is scraped across it.”

However, others looked on the brightside, with someone writing: “Shame about the salad (especially the cucumber) but the sausages look good, as do the hash browns and the eggs look poached to perfection.”
