A hidden warehouse by the harbour played host to the 4th annual Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show earlier this month, unveiling Thailand's custom culture to the world along with the talent of builders and artists.
Present were nearly every variety of custom motorbikes and hotrod automobiles, including American muscle cars, and retro and classic automobiles.
Organisers said the event is the "one and only hub for all custom lovers in Thailand to share their passion and ideas with one another in order to generate an infinite source of inspiration". Other custom cultures throughout the world have praised the Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show as the best in the country.
"We are the true, unique custom event, a stage to open up opportunities for those with passion for the art of customisation to bring their bikes and hot rods to show off their artwork at the venue under the 'Custom Rampage' theme," said the organisers.
The Bangkok Hot Rod Custom Show 2022 was a spectacular event that showcased the work of local artisans and will soon expand to a global platform.
Over 300 bikes and hot rods were displayed this year. A team of 30 judges from the US, Spain, Italy, Japan, Indonesia and Malaysia used the International Standard Scoring System to determine the winners in each category.
Over 30 notable founders, builders, artists and media figures came to the show this year. They include:
Cherry's Company Japan: A top-notch builder from Japan who specialises in café racers. His masterpiece is the BMW R Nine T "Highway Fighter".
Luck MC Japan: This expert builder visited Thailand for the first time. He's the only Asian who won the Award of Excellence from the Harley-Davidson Design Team at Born-Free 13 in the USA.
Sosa Metalwork (Las Vegas): He is the god of design and metalwork. You can find his amazing artwork on famous stages from Las Vegas to Yokohama.
Free Kustom Cycles: This true builder and influencer from Spain could hardly wait to witness how amazing Thai custom culture is with his own eyes.
