Curtis Pritchard has officially quit Dancing With The Stars after a three year stint on the RTE show.
The Love Island hunk will not be taking to the dancefloor when the reality TV show returns to screens once again in January.
The 23-year-old is tied up with other contracts, including his role in Christmas panto Dick Whittington, meaning that he cannot commit to RTE’s production.
Curtis told RSVP Live: “I was part of Dancing With The Stars for three years.
“The show was a massive part of my life and I loved every single minute of it.
“It was a massive journey for me but I am not a part of it anymore.”
Curtis jetted back into Ireland over the weekend to support his former castmates including John Nolan, Karen Byrne and Ryan McShane as Dancing With The Stars presented its first live show in Killarney’s INEC.
He added: “I booked a ticket myself and I came alone, I didn’t tell anyone that I was coming here.
“I wanted to come and support the tour because the show was a big part of my life.”
A new professional dancer will join the cast in January with their identity set to be announced before Christmas.
An insider told us: “Contracts are currently being ironed out before everything is announced.
“The new recruit will be announced by RTE along with the cast of series four before Christmas.”
Curtis was paired with international model Thalia Heffernan for the first season and they were the second couple to be eliminated.
His partner Norah Casey was first to go in series two.
Last year, it was announced that he would dance alongside Holly Carpenter.
However, a serious injury meant that he was missing for the first four live shows and was replaced by Trent Whiddon.
Curtis later rejoined the cast after she was voted off.
