A wedding video of Lanarkshire newlyweds has gone viral, racking up more than one million views.
Gary and Gillian Hughes recently celebrated their big day in Cumbernauld, with one particular moment from their nuptials proving very popular online.
The clip, which was uploaded to TikTok, captured Gary as he got back down on one knee to change his new wife’s wedding shoes for a comfy pair of white Vans.
The clip was filmed by the couple's Humanist wedding celebrant, George McLean, from Fuze Ceremonies.
George, brand ambassador and Celebrant at Fuze explained: “I always have my phone at the ready to capture all the little things that couples miss. As soon as I saw Gary go down on one knee, I just knew this was a moment to record. I think it clearly captures Gary’s love for Gillian as he just got on with the job at hand – it was like they were in their own wee love bubble.
"As humanist celebrants at Fuze, we conduct lots of symbolic gestures during our ceremonies and perhaps Gary and Gillian have just created a new one to add to the list”
The ceremony and wedding took place in Cumbernauld at the Westerwood Hotel last Saturday, July 23.
Gillian added: “I love that people can see the kind of man I married.
"Gary is always looking after me and this clip really backs this up. We are delighted that George not only conducted such a wonderful ceremony for us but was on hand to capture this.”
