Cuisinart release a new basket air fryer, and we're excited to see how it lands

Cuisinart AIR-200 Basket Air Fryer with food

Good news for fried food fans: Cuisinart has expanded its already-extensive kitchen range with a multi-functional basket air fryer, allowing you to cook everything from satisfying main meals to tasty snacks.

The Cuisinart AIR-200 is the brand's first ever basket air fryer, which is an exciting development for the global cooking and kitchenware brand. Sitting at a comfortable mid-range price point, the new AIR-200 is going to be competing with some of the best air fryers from brands like Proscenic and Ninja, and their popular range of basket air fryers.

It's made from the same people who have so far only released toaster oven air fryers - such as the Cuisinart TOA60 Air Fryer Mini Oven - and now they're throwing their hat in the ring with their first basket air fryer after recognising the popularity of the design.

Key features of the Cuisinart AIR-200 Basket Air Fryer

The AIR-200 is a multi-function cooker, so it's got you covered whether you're in the mood for snacks, meals, or reheated takeaways. The air fryer has five cooking presets: you can air fry, roast, bake, broil and keep warm. It's a handy selection if, like us, you like to mix up the food you're cooking.

This is all controlled using a digital display showing the cooking temperature that's adjustable up to 450F. The fryer also has a (very helpful) window with an interior light that lets you check your food without having to remove the tray and let heat escape - ideal when you're looking for that perfect level of crispiness.

With a 9 x 9in cooking surface, there should be plenty of room to cook your food evenly and, with that size, we're excited to roast a whole chicken in it. The Basket Air Fryer also has a timer up to 60 minutes and you'll get a reminder when it's time to toss your food, so you can sit back and relax until the food needs flipping.

The 1800W air fryer is designed to be quiet - good news if you like to watch TV in the background or if your home conversations are confined to a small kitchen.

Its main components are non-stick and easy to clean, too, with the air fry basket and crisper tray both dishwasher safe. It's definitely a strong contender if you're looking for a mid-range air fryer from a global, trusted cooking brand - and we can't wait to get our hands on it.

You can find the Cuisinart AIR-200 Basket Air Fryer at Sur La Table for $149.95 and, for a few more cents, at Kohl's for $149.99.
