Crystal Palace trio nominated for London Football Awards alongside Chelsea and Arsenal stars

Crystal Palace trio Patrick Vieira, Conor Gallagher and Tyrick Mitchell have all been nominated for prizes at the London Football Awards.

Frenchman Vieira joined the Eagles last July and has been put forward in the Manager of the Year category in his first season in charge.

He is joined on the competitive shortlist by Chelsea manager and Champions League-winning boss Thomas Tuchel plus West Ham manager David Moyes, Sutton United's Matt Gray and Fulham's Marco Silva.

Both Mitchell and Gallagher are then up for the Young Player of the Year gong alongside last year's winner Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Oliver Skipp (Tottenham) and Fabio Carvalho (Fulham).

Gallagher, on loan from Chelsea, has been one of Palace's star players of the season since arriving over the summer and has seven Premier League goals to his name from midfield already this campaign.

The 21-year-old also earned his first call-up to the England senior team in November, coming on as a second-half substitute in the 10-0 win over San Marino.

Tyrick Mitchell meanwhile is enjoying his first full season as Palace's number one left-back, having broken into the team alongside Patrick van Aanholt last year under Roy Hodgson.

The 22-year-old has been one of the Eagles best and most consistent players so far this season and is said to be on Gareth Southgate's radar for international recognition.

The London Football Awards Player of the Year nominations include West Ham duo Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen and Chelsea trio Antonio Rudiger, Thiago Silva and Jorginho.

Goalkeeper of the Year is contested by Sutton's Dean Bouzanis, Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale, Spurs' Hugo Lloris, West Ham's Lukasz Fabianski and Chelsea's Edouard Mendy.

The EFL Player of the Year is dominated by west London meanwhile, with Fulham trio Harry Wilson, Neeskens Kebano and Aleksandar Mitrovic joining QPR's Ilias Chair and Chirs Willock on the nominations list.
