Crystal Palace team news vs Chelsea as Patrick Vieira makes Michael Olise decision

Patrick Vieira has made four changes to his Crystal Palace starting XI for today's FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea.

The Eagles are contesting just their fifth FA Cup semi-final in the club's history and are bidding to reach the final for the third time. With that in mind, Vieira has kept faith with many of his regular star performers for this afternoon's clash with the Blues.

In goal, Jack Butland starts over Vicente Guaita, with the Englishman having played between the sticks in all of the previous rounds of the competition so far. Marc Guehi and Joachim Andersen start in the heart of defence together once again, while Joel Ward starts at right-back. Tyrick Mitchell, who was forced off against Leicester due to a hamstring knock last week, has passed a late fitness test, meanwhile, and starts for the Eagles at left-back.

In midfield, Cheikhou Kouyate and James McArthur both play, while Ebere Eze - who started the 4-0 quarter-final win against Everton at Selhurst Park - fills in the place of Conor Gallagher, who is unavailable for today's game but is here with the squad supporting from the sidelines.

In attack, Wilfried Zaha and Jeffrey Schlupp play with Jean-Philippe Mateta taking his spot as the team's central striker. The Frenchman was benched for the visit of Chelsea to south London in February but has been given the important job of leading the line for the Eagles this afternoon.

Christian Benteke and Odsonne Edouard both start on the bench along with Michael Olise and Jordan Ayew.

Crystal Palace XI: Butland; Mitchell, Guehi, Andersen, Ward; Kouyate, McArthur, Eze; Zaha, Mateta, Schlupp.

Substitutes : Guaita, Clyne, Kelly, Tomkins, Milivojevic, Olise, Ayew, Edouard, Benteke.
