Crystal Palace manager news: Roy Hodgson set for Steve Parish talks over stay

Roy Hodgson is set for talks with Crystal Palace about staying on as manager beyond this season.

The 75-year-old has done a brilliant job since returning to Selhurst Park and guided Palace comfortably to safety with five wins in eight matches.

Palace initially viewed Hodgson as a stop-gap solution before appointing a new manager at the end of the season, but his impact has raised the possibility of him staying on.

Hodgson, who turns 76 in August, is set to hold talks with Palace chairman Steve Parish at the end of the season to discuss whether he has any appetite to continue.

With Palace 12th in the Premier League, Hodgson insists he is focused only on enjoying the remaining two games of the season, away to Fulham and at home to Nottingham Forest.

Celtic manager Ange Postecoglou, Forest boss Steve Cooper and former Chelsea manager Graham Potter are among the names who have been linked with the Palace job.
