Crystal Palace are hopeful for good news on the injury that forced defender Joachim Andersen off at half-time in their 2-0 defeat at Wolves.
Andersen scored an own goal after three minutes and did not come back out for the second half after suffering an injury.
Palace manager Roy Hodgson was pleased with the way his side played at Molineux but a stoppage-time penalty from Ruben Neves sealed victory for Wolves after Sam Johnstone brought down Pedro Neto as he tried to atone for his own poor touch.
“I’m just going to wait and see what the doctors tell me when they’ve looked into the situation with him,” said Hodgson when asked about Anderson.
“We took him off very early when we knew that he was suffering some slight discomfort. I haven’t given up any hope as yet that he will be fit to play [West Ham] on Saturday, and hope the doctors can give me some good news.”
Palace had 59 per cent possession and 14 shots compared to nine from Wolves.
Hodgson said: “I thought it was an excellent second half from our side.
“We really created a lot of pressure and dominated the game, but we couldn’t put the ball in the net. I’m not disappointed with the players’ performance.”
