Daniel Munoz popped up with a 94th-minute equaliser to deny Newcastle all three points in their 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace.
The Magpies were dealt a huge injury blow in the first half when star striker Alexander Isak had to be substituted inside the first 25 minutes with injury.
Newcastle and Palace struggled to get going in the first half at Selhurst Park with neither side able to muster a single shot on target.
However, it was the Magpies who broke the deadlock after the break. Just eight minutes into the second half, Anthony Gordon’s whipped low cross into the box was turned in by Marc Guehi.
Guehi’s own goal gave Newcastle the impetuous to push on, given the Magpies have gone on to win all three games this season when they’ve scored first.
And it appeared Eddie Howe’s side were heading for all three points as the clock wound down.
But four minutes into stoppage time, Munoz was there to rescue a point for the hosts. It was the defender’s first goal for the Eagles, and what a precious goal at that.

Palace Climb Out Of The Relegation Zone
The draw saw Palace climb out of the bottom three on goal difference. The Eagles are still tied on nine points with Wolves and Ipswich.
Meanwhile, Newcastle are 10th in the Premier League table. A win would’ve seen them move above Brentford into seventh but it is another set-back for Howe’s men.
There’s still plenty of football left to be played this season and this is the type of result that could provide a timely boost for the Eagles in their bid to climb to safety.
