Crysencio Summerville's surprising squad number reveal as Leeds United winger hails Jesse Marsch

Crysencio Summerville has hailed manager Jesse Marsch's impact following the winger's new and improved contract that will keep him at Elland Road until 2026.

Signing fresh terms along with fellow youngsters Joe Gelhardt and Sam Greenwood, the former Feyenoord man was pictured holding up a shirt with the vacant number 10 on it, as he looks to claim the number previously held by Raphinha.

Will big boots to fill heading into the 22/23 campaign, Summerville insists he himself is ready for the challenge he know he now faces.

Speaking to the club's official platforms, he began by saying: ''I am very happy for myself and my family. I couldn't imagine I would come here as a kid from Rotterdam to Leeds and sign a big contract at a club like Leeds. I am ready to give it my all.''

''It's a big difference between Holland and England. It's a big change and everyday I am learning something new. Still everyday I am learning new things and as a player and as a person I have grown up a lot. Sometimes on the pitch my body language or when I make a mistake or make a bad pass, I know I have to keep going and try it again. In the past my body language would bring me down.''

Coming through the club's academy set-up much like many of Marsch's current first team players, the 20-year-old has also indicated just how big of an influence the American has had on his game.

''He [Marsch] is helping me a lot. We are watching lots of videos after the game and looking at what I can do better or what I am doing good. For sure he has been there for me a lot.

''For me now, I am looking to make an impact when I come onto the pitch during the game. It's then on myself to work hard in training and then when I get a chance to start I have to prove what I can do.''
