Crysencio Summerville's dressing room 'stress' admission amid Leeds United relegation fight

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has admitted that there has been 'stress' amongst the squad in their fight to stay in the Premier League but insists he's happy at the club. The Whites are currently sat in 16th, just two points above the relegation zone but have failed to take chances to climb further up the table in recent weeks.

Back-to-back heavy 5-1 and 6-1 losses for Javi Gracia's side has meant that their next few matches against Fulham, Leicester and Bournemouth will be vital for their survival.

And despite the incredible amounts of pressure on his shoulders, 21-year-old Summerville is happy with the 'different path' he took to come to England at a young age. "There are people who sometimes ask 'aren’t you sorry you’re not walking among them in Rotterdam right now?'" he told Dutch outlet Algemeen Dagblad.

"But things run the way they do. I took a different path. In hindsight, I’m happy with how things turned out. I play against Haaland, Van Dijk, Salah, De Bruyne.

"But on the pitch, you have to think of yourself as just the best. That winning goal against Liverpool, was a few hours before my birthday.

"When I look back at the footage, I get goosebumps again. It was really great. With Leeds, we are fighting to stay in the Premier League. Of course, there is stress sometimes."
