Crysencio Summerville on 'important' Leeds United winner and Jesse Marsch's half-time message

Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville has called his late winner over Bournemouth 'an important one' as the Whites completed a comeback from 3-1 down to win 4-3 at Elland Road.

Rodrigo opened the scoring for the hosts with a third-minute penalty but goals from Marcus Tavernier, Philip Billing and Dominic Solanke saw the visitors take a 3-1 lead after 48 minutes.

However, a goal from Sam Greenwood after 60 minutes and an equaliser from Liam Cooper eight minutes later meant Summerville's winner in the 84th minute secured all three points for Jesse Marsch's side.

Speaking after the match, Summerville gave his honest thoughts on the team's performance in both halves.

"It was a bit sloppy in the first half but I think we rebounded well in the second half. I think as a group, we had belief, we fought for each other and I think you could see that on the pitch so the second half was just great," he told LUTV.

"It was like the Liverpool game, I don't know what I have with late winners but this was definitely an important one! I just keep working hard, I feel good, the team is good, the spirit is good so we have to keep going now."

Summerville highlighted that after going behind, Leeds would still stick to the gameplan, having full belief in manager Jesse Marsch's tactics.

"We had to stick to the match plan so we could get back to how we usually play. But when I said that it was a bit sloppy in the first half, we weren't doing the things we were meant to do.

"It was the last home game [before the summer break] but the fans were like our 12th man and I think Leeds United are just incredible, all the fans so that helped us a lot."

When asked what Marsch said to his side at halftime, Summerville laughed and said: "I don't think I can say that!

"But if I say it in my words, if we stick to the match plan and do what we need to do, then we're going to win the game. And we did, so I'm happy."
