Cryotherapy boss who installed faulty equipment for Rangers FC wins over £20,000 at tribunal

The director of a cryotherapy firm used by Rangers FC has won more than £20,000 at a tribunal – despite being sacked for fitting equipment that leaked gases which “could have led to fatalities”.

David Morris, 56, fitted an £80,000 cryotherapy chamber in Glasgow as the company’s engineer was unavailable.

Morris was later sacked by CryoAction for fitting the device despite “not being a qualified engineer”.

But the tribunal ruled in his favour after concluding employees, including the company’s principal health and safety officer, were aware he was doing the work but said nothing against it.

The firm has also supplied English Premier League clubs.
