Crying family 'trapped' in dirty four star hotel room after paying 'extortionate amount'

A TikTok star has blasted a hotel after his family were allegedly forced to stay in a "hairy, dusty, dirty" room on holiday.

Max Balegde took to the platform to share his disgust, claiming his mum had been left in tears by the state of the room at the four star resort.

His family were hoping to enjoy their stay at Sirenis Hotel Club Siesta, Ibiza, after booking their holiday through TUI.

But they were left revolted when they saw their accommodation and were told they could not move by hotel staff, according to the TikTok star.

He then implored his followers to contact the hotel to save his "trapped" mum - before his family's room was changed.

Posting to TikTok, an enraged Max said: "Guys, I very rarely ask for things from you, but I need your help desperately.

"My mum and my family are stuck in a disgusting hotel room in Ibiza. My mum is crying because they have paid an extortionate amount of money for a four star hotel, and let me show you the room that they are in..."

His video then cut to a series of photos reportedly taken inside the room, which show hair-covered wires and a dirty shower head.

Max's narration continued: "This in in the room. Hairy, dusty, dirty central. It is vile.

"My mum is in tears over this hole. It is disgusting. Don't even get me started on this geezer. Vile."

"Bless my mum. She is literally crying down the phone to me. They paid so much money to go to this hotel, that is a four star hotel. They get to the room, it looks nothing like the pictures, " he added.

Max also claimed his family complained to staff but were told they could not change rooms.

He said: "They complained to the staff and asked to move, and the staff said we can't move you because then the next person will complain. Yes, sort it out then."

The star then shared a screenshot of the hotel's Instagram page. "Wouldn't it be a shame if loads of people messaged them and commented saying my mum is trapped in a dirty room," he quipped.

Concluding his video, Max said: "They said that there's nothing they can do. How would you like it if you saved all year to go on a summer holiday and then it is disgusting? We ride at dawn. #FreeJoanne on all of their pictures."

Shortly afterward, the hotel's Instagram was flooded with the hashtag, and the hotel issued an apology on its page.

In a video update, Max also confirmed his mum's room was changed.

"Thank you all so much. My mum is over the moon," he said.

A spokesman for the hotel said: "We have apologised to Joanne and her family for their initial experience at the hotel.

"They arrived in the hotel at 01:00 in the morning and had no other rooms available, but the hotel worked to offer suitable alternative for our guests the following morning of their arrival and can confirm that Joanne and her family were moved to another room which they are happy with.

"As with all our guests, the team will continue to work hard to ensure Joanne’s holiday is a great one."

A spokeswoman for TUI said: "We’re aware of the video on social media regarding Mr Balegde’s family in Ibiza.

"We can confirm that Mr Balegde’s family have been moved to an alternative room at the hotel, which they have accepted.

"We’d like to assure customers that we’ll always do our best to resolve issues that are flagged to us, and we’re pleased the family can now enjoy the rest of their holiday."
