A Royal Caribbean cruise ship passenger mysteriously died after a dramatic incident involving the victim was caught on camera, according to a report.
On Dec. 13, during a trip from California to Mexico, crew members were called to tend to an unruly passenger, FOX 11 reported.
Michael Virgil, 35, who was aboard the cruise with family members, including his wife and 7-year-old son, was seen in a video yelling profanities and threatening to kill crew members, injuring two.
Crew members wearing security jackets then restrained Virgil and used pepper spray, zip ties and towels to restrain him. The victim's family claimed staff also injected Virgil with a sedative, according to FOX 11.
He died an hour later.
The ship docked in Los Angeles, where the FBI responded and opened an investigation into the incident, which is currently ongoing.
"We are saddened by the passing of one of our guests. We offered support to the family and are working with authorities on their investigation," Royal Caribbean Cruises said in a statement obtained by ABC.
