A doctor has shared diet tips to help Brits live long and healthy lives to his hundreds of thousands of followers on TikTok.
Dr Mark Hyman, a physician and author of the book Young Forever: The Secrets to Living Your Longest, Healthiest Life has recommended the foods people should eat every day.
He says should people follow his advice they may keep looking young as well as living longer lives.
In a recent video Dr Hyman recommended cruciferous vegetables such as broccoli, kale, Brussels sprouts and cabbage.
He said: “These things are medicine.”
The doctor added he advised people eat “at least a cup or two” every day.
Another he said people should be having is extra virgin olive oil, which he said had been 'shown to contain all sorts of anti-inflammatory compounds', Manchester Evening News reported.
He said: “You need to make sure you get lots of good fats and olive oil is a great way to do it. "It should be your staple fat."
The doctor also swore by eating nuts, adding: "Nuts are so important.
"They've been show to extend life, to cause reduction in diabetes, to increase health span, lifespan.
“They're full of minerals, fat, protein, fibre. They're one of nature's super foods."
Another important food is berries, which Dr Hyman hailed as a "great source of antioxidants".
He also advised drinking green tea every day, although he admitted it is technically not a food.
He explained: “It contains all of these phytochemicals [and] catechins, which have been shown to activate longevity switches and pathways in our body that keep us young [and] keep us healthy.
Dr Hyman noted that in Ikaria, Greece, a so-called blue zone region that has one of the longest-living populations on earth, they drink wild sage tea.
Earlier this month diet guru doctor Michael Moseley said the key to leading a long and happy life is protecting your gut health, and suggests embarking on a healthy lifestyle is far more important than genetics when it comes to how we age.
Dr Mosley - who has long been famed for his diet advice - explained that adding certain foods to your diet can make a real difference in slowing down - or even reversing - the ageing process.
The advice comes after Dr Mosley finished filming a series exploring the process of ageing and how food plays a vital part, the Coventry Telegraph reports.
While making the new documentary, the weight loss guru spoke to the world's leading scientists who are researching ways to slow, or even reverse, the process of ageing.
