Crossbow fired into window of Paisley home discovered by shocked resident

A crossbow was fired into the window of a Paisley home, where it was discovered by the shocked householder.

The incident happened at around 9.10pm on Saturday (May 21) with the spiked object found lodged in a window in Arkleston Drive in the Gallowhill area.

Police Scotland is now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or have anyinformation that could help with their investigation to contact them. Nobody was injured, but officers say the resident was left "frightened by what happened".

Sergeant Jason Cooper said: “Fortunately no one was injured but the householder was left frightened by what happened and we are eager to trace whoever was responsible.

“If anyone saw anything suspicious around the time of this incident or has information that could help with our ongoing enquiries then please get in touch.

“You can contact officers via 101, quoting incident number 3578 of Saturday, 21 May, 2022, or make a call anonymously to the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
