Cross Platform Save Now Live in Warframe

Good news for all players! (Credit: Digital Extremes)

Developer Digital Extremes announced that Cross Platform Save is now available in Warframe. It's also now possible to Merge accounts which mean players can now have a unified profile where they can access progress no matter where they play.

What the Cross Platform Save functionality does is let players to use their Warframe account Progression, as well as Items, from a single Cross Platform Save Account across the multiple different gaming platforms. Progression in particular includes things that include Quests, Syndicate ranks, Focus, Intrinsics, Helminth unlocks and currently active Kuva Liches or Sisters of Parvos.

Now when Cross Platform Save is enabled, the Warframe accounts of the players immediately follow one of two paths which are either Merging or Linking.

Merging

Merging is a way to combine multiple accounts with the use of a One-Time Account Merge. All players need to do is choose which account serves as the Primary Account. Anyway, Progression is then retained for that final Merged Account. This means all the Items, Customizations, Resources, and Currencies in all the connected accounts are combined into the final Merged Account. By the way, this change is permanent.

Linking

Linking meanwhile has players permanently select one Warframe account to serve as their Primary Account. Players can then link this Primary Account to the Warframe accounts that they use or create on additional platforms to use its Progression, Items, Customizations, Resources and Currencies to any linked platform.

Warframe is an action role-playing third-person shooter multiplayer online game. This free-to-play game was first released for the PC back in March 2013. It was later ported to the PlayStation 4 later in the same year with a version for the Xbox One launched in September 2014. A version for the Nintendo Switch was launched in November 2018 and then made available for next consoles PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S between 2020 to 2021.

The game players face warring factions across a sprawling interplanetary system. They get to follow the guidance of the mysterious Lotus and get to level up their Warframe while building an Arsenal of destructive firepower.
