Police are hunting a robber and their getaway driver who targeted a G4S cash-in-transit van near a busy McDonald’s restaurant in Glasgow.
Officers remained at the scene on London Road, Cambuslang, late on Monday evening after being called to the car park at around 12.50pm that day.
A cash case was stolen from the G4S employee, who was thankfully uninjured, before the thief fled the scene in a black coloured motor which was being driven by another man.
A major manhunt is underway to find both suspects and theirs vehicle.
A Police Scotland source confirmed the incident with Lanarkshire Live.
They told us: “Around 12.50pm on Monday (November 28), a G4S security man was robbed of a security case within a car park at McDonald’s, Westthorn Drive, Cambuslang.
"He was not injured.
“The suspect made off in a black coloured vehicle that was driven by another man.
"Police enquiries are ongoing to trace the vehicle and those responsible for the robbery.”
A G4S spokesman told Lanarkshire Live: "We are supporting Police Scotland with their inquiries following an attack on one of our couriers on London Road, Glasgow.
"Fortunately our courier was not injured and we ask that anyone with any information contact the police."
