Crocs have found a way to become an even more divisive footwear choice, by incorporating storage onto the backs of the rubber clogs.
In collaboration with Japanese brand Beams, Crocs have released a version of the perforated shoes, available in teal and blue, that come complete with miniature bumbags, known as fanny packs in the US.
Depending on what you need it for, and your style preference, the accompanying pouch can be worn either in the front over the top of your Croc-encased foot, or behind your heel.
But the convenience will cost you, as the Bespoke Pocket Crog cost $53 (£40), slightly more than a typical pair of Crocs which retail for $39.99 (£30).
On social media, the latest Crocs have been met with mixed responses ranging from horror and amusement to appreciation.
“Remember that time I said Crocs could not get worse? FEAST YOUR EYES,” one person tweeted. “That’s right. Fanny packs.”
Another said: “Just when you thought they could NOT get uglier, they do this…”
However, others were intrigued by the new shoes.
“Let me know when black Crocs with the fanny pack come out,” one person wrote, while another said: “They have Crocs with tiny fanny packs on the back and I desperately need them on my feet this very second.”
In addition to tiny bumbags, the collection also includes Crocs with miniature sun visors, fringe, and jewels.
