Cristiano Ronaldo has been told that he is 'wrong' to demand an exit from Man United as Chelsea transfer rumours continue to be fuelled by an Old Trafford incident that happened on Sunday in pre-season against Rayo Vallecano.
The Portuguese made the headlines, not due to his performance against the La Liga outfit, but what he appeared to do at half-time after an altercation of sorts with manager Erik ten Hag, who has made his feelings on his star well known. He said: "We are planning for Cristiano Ronaldo for the season and that's it. I'm looking forward to working with him. I have read [that he wants to leave], but what I say is Cristiano is not for sale, he is in our plans and we want success together."
A supporter recorded a video of the 37-year-old leaving Old Trafford as per the Manchester Evening News. Whilst not directly linking to the Blues' interest, it could show his lack of commitment to the cause. The reason this doesn't directly link in with Chelsea is because of what manager Thomas Tuchel had decided a while ago after being offered Ronaldo's services via his super agent Jorge Mendes.

football.london understands that Tuchel himself blocked this opportunity after Boehly offered it up as he met Mendes in Portugal last month.
Whilst a Man Utd stay is starting to look a little more likely as the days progress and as the lack of interest continues amid Mendes' plan not working out currently, Frank Leboeuf believes the six-time Ballon d'Or winner has been 'wrong' in his approach to dealing with his own future.
"It is (wrong) for me. It’s not professional with all due respect and the fact I appreciate the player and what he achieved in his career but it’s not professional and disrespectful towards the club," he told ESPN FC.
"You have to stay, you have to show respect to the other players, to the fans that came, you still belong to the club, you signed for it, you have to play for them, didn’t make any mistakes, they want to keep you so the only thing you have to say is at least sit on the bench and wait until the end of the game."
