The president Al-Nassr has cheekily refused to answer questions about the potential arrival of Cristiano Ronaldo at the Saudi Arabian side.
Ronaldo is searching for a new club after having his contract terminated by Manchester United in response to his bombshell interview with Piers Morgan. His options appear to be growing ever more limited, with European giants such as Bayern Munich having officially ruled themselves out.
One of the main candidates for his next destination is the Middle East, where domestic clubs' near-limitless cash reserves mean that Ronaldo would immediately be one of the highest-paid footballers in history.
Al-Nassr appear to be leading the race to sign the 37-year-old, having offered a staggering £200million per year deal. Al-Nassr sit third in the Saudi Super League and have not won the title for more than three years.
But club president Musalli Al Muammar is staying tight-lipped about the prospect of bringing in a world-renowned superstar. As he walked into a hotel, Al Muammar was asked about Ronaldo.
He replied, "Who is Ronaldo? I don't know him," before walking into the building. He was later quizzed by SSC Sports on the same subject, but insisted that no negotiations had taken place.

"Victory preoccupies people, they even talk about a player's number in a training session, and Cristiano is busy with the World Cup during the last period. I don't think that he is in negotiations with anyone," he said.
Al Muammar's reluctance to speak about Ronaldo is in stark contrast to Al-Nassr boss Rudi Garcia. Earlier this week, the Frenchman hailed the former United star and insisted he would love to work with him.
"I can't say anything about Cristiano because otherwise it would immediately appear in the headlines: 'Garcia: about Ronaldo'. What I see is that it has been a soap opera and it has been a very important promotion for Al Nassr," he told Spanish outlet AS.
"I think that any coach would be delighted to train a great star like Cristiano and, already in November 2021, I was very close to going to United. They chose Ralf Rangnick, but I met twice with John Murtough and Darren Fletcher.
"Nothing special, but I have always thought that the great players are the easiest to manage because they are very intelligent, I verified this with Francesco Totti at Roma. At the moment, the goal with Al Nassr is simple: win titles.
"We're not playing in the Asian Champions League this year because of the World Cup, but we want to win the league and the cups. winning titles in a country other than France is a very important motivation for me too."
Ronaldo is training with former side Real Madrid in an effort to stay fit, having been knocked out of the World Cup in the quarter-finals. There is no prospect of a return to the Santiago Bernabeu, though, with the Portugal captain training alone.
