Cristiano Ronaldo snaps selfie with Old Trafford pitch invader after Juventus beat Manchester United

Cristiano Ronaldo made sure his return to Old Trafford was one to remember for one Manchester United fan.

Ronaldo was back at his former stomping ground for just the second time since leaving nine years ago and played a key role as Juventus won 1-0.

As expected, Ronaldo's name received a huge reception from both sets of fans when the teams were read out prior to kick-off.

United fell behind in the 17th minute to a goal from Paulo Dybala. Ronaldo was involved, sending in a cross from the right that Chris Smalling connected with sliding in with Juan Cuadrado. But the ball deflected back into the path of Dybala, who slammed it in from 10 yards.

The opening stages were disrupted by one plucky pitch invader who failed in his pursuit of United but one supporter was successful after full-time.

Running onto the pitch with phone in hand after most had left the pitch and stands, the fan was also tackled while attempting to get a selfie with Ronaldo.

Ronaldo was not going to let that get in the way of a good snap, though, and posed with the fan as stewards restrained.

Never mind the result, at least he got the selfie.
