Cristiano Ronaldo shares rare snap of new baby daughter as family fly away on private jet

Cristiano Ronaldo and partner Georgina Rodriguez have shared a delightful snap of their newborn daughter ahead of jetting away for a post-season holiday.

The Portuguese superstar is now able to enjoy some down time with his family after a hectic season both on the domestic and international front. Despite the Premier League having ended some weeks ago, he was still included in the Portugal squad for the latest round of UEFA Nations League fixtures.

The 2016 European champions rounded off their latest run of fixtures with an slender 1-0 defeat against Switzerland – Ronaldo having been ruled out through injury. He is now set for a period of rest and recuperation before focus switches to the Red Devils’ first campaign under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag.

He alongside partner Rodriguez shared touching images of his family on a private jet ahead of their holiday. Cristiano Jr, 11, Eva, 5, Matteo, 5, Alana Martina, 4 were all pictured surrounding their father in an Instagram post on Rodrgiuez’s page.

In the meantime, newborn Bella Esmarelda was shown being cradled in her mother’s arms having only been born two months ago. She was one of two twins expected by the couple earlier this year but unfortunately, the pair's baby boy passed away. A statement from the pair confirmed the heartbreaking loss, with a number of touching tributes from the footballing world and further beyond then pouring in.

Following Rodriguez's post ahead of their holiday, Ronaldo himself then followed suit after the family of seven had arrived at their destination. He posted an image of them all sat around the table for dinner with the caption: “Vacation with love."

Ronaldo will certainly be hoping the trip abroad allows him to rest ahead of what is expected to be an extremely demanding campaign next term. Former Ajax boss Erik ten Hag is set to take the reins at Old Trafford and will be aiming to better the Red Devils’ current fortunes having endured their worst-ever Premier League season last term.

After scoring 24 goals for United last term following his emotional return from Juventus, Ronaldo has called on the Dutchman to receive time to stamp his authority on the side. Speaking to Man Utd’s official website, he said: "What I know about him is he did a fantastic job for Ajax, that he's an experienced coach. But we need to give him time.

"Things need to change the way he wants. I hope we have success, of course, because, if you have success, all of Manchester is going to have success as well. I wish him the best.

"We are happy and excited, not only as players, but the supporters as well. I wish him the best and let's believe that, next year, we are going to win trophies."

The Red Devils’ are expected to be called back in for pre-season testing on Monday 27 June, although Ronaldo is not expected to be among that group due to his international commitments and will be granted a further grace period.
