Cristiano Ronaldo is reportedly 'set to receive' another bumper offer from Saudi Arabia to leave Manchester United in January.
Ronaldo's future was a constant talking point during the summer transfer window, after reports emerged that the 37-year-old wanted to leave Old Trafford in pursuit of Champions League football. Pictures of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner driving into Carrington to hold 'crunch talks' with the club and his agent, Jorge Mendes, made headlines across the world.
Erik ten Hag would have been relieved as September 1 saw the transfer window slam shut, so he could at last put the off-field distractions to one side and get to work with his new team. However, news of a fresh mouthwatering offer to swap Manchester for Saudi Arabia has cast further doubts over Ronaldo's future at United.

Saudi FA chief Yasser Al-Misehal, was recently asked whether a concrete offer could arrive for Ronaldo. He told The Athletic : “To be honest, I don't have the answer.
“We would love to see a player like Cristiano Ronaldo playing in the Saudi League. I think, 'Why not?'. I'm sure it would be a very expensive deal, of course, but we can see our clubs getting higher revenues in the past couple of years."
That wish may well come true, after the Sun reported that Ronaldo is set to receive another enormous offer from Saudi Arabia, as they look to tempt him away from United in January. It is believed that both the Saudi champions Al Hilal and rivals Al Nassr are keen on making a move for the forward, as clubs continue to monitor his situation.
Ronaldo has only started one Premier League match for United under Ten Hag, during the sobering 4-0 defeat to Brentford in West London. Since then, the Portuguese international has only made his league appearances from the bench - his only other start coming in the Europa League against Real Sociedad.
United's trip to Moldova for their match against Sheriff Tiraspol could see Ronaldo start once again in Europe - whether this will be enough to keep the former Real Madrid happy is yet to be seen, as he could be tempted once again with a lucrative offer from Saudi Arabia.
