Cristiano Ronaldo sends ‘GOAT’ message alongside Tom Brady after Manchester United heroics

Cristiano Ronaldo spent some time with NFL icon Tom Brady following Manchester United’s win over Tottenham at Old Trafford on Saturday.

The United forward hit a stunning hat-trick to move his side back into the top four at Spurs’ expense in a thrilling 3-2 victory.

Brady, who recently announced his retirement from a sport he dominated himself, was in attendance as the 37-year-old Ronaldo proved age is just a number.

Ronaldo’s goals could well have broken an all-time record at 807 scored during his career, although there is some debate around Brazilian legend Pele’s overall tally given the difficulty in substantiating goals scored in friendlies.

Still, few would doubt Ronaldo’s standing as perhaps the greatest marksman of the modern era even despite some of the concerns his presence has on the team as a whole.

Writing on Twitter after the game alongside a photo of him and Brady, Ronaldo said: “Always a pleasure and a privilege to share some thoughts and ideas with another GOAT… “
