Arsenal and Portugal defender Cedric Soares has compared Gabriel Martinelli to Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo.
The former Southampton full-back knows the qualities of the five-time Ballon d'Or winner all too well after lining up alongside the 37-year-old for Portugal. Despite the high praise, Martinelli hasn't been played as frequently as he'd have liked as Mikel Arteta looks to secure a place in the top four.
The 20-year-old made his Brazil debut in the most recent international break after Tite handed the forward his first appearance for the national team. And from his time working with the youngster at the Gunners, Soares has noticed similarities with the United icon.

"Gabi has this aim for goal. He likes to attack the space, like Cristiano," he told the Evening Standard. "He likes to score goals, like everyone does. But Gabi has this willingness to fight.
"Even when he doesn’t play, he keeps working the same way. He is an easy young kid to talk with. You talk and you can see he listens to you. He’s talented, but the way he works is fantastic."
