Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez signs mega-bucks Netflix deal

Cristiano Ronaldo’s girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez has signed a mega-bucks deal to star in a second series of the hit Netflix show about her life.

The new series of ‘I Am Georgina’ will follow Ms Rodriguez Ronaldo after his return to Old Trafford.

The birth of her twins, due in April, are also expected to feature.

Filming has already started after Ms Rodriguez signed the lucrative contract to cement her status as an international star.

A source close to the 28-year-old said: “A second series was always going to be on the cards but getting Georgina back on board became a priority for Netflix when it saw how well the first one was doing.

“Her pregnancy and the birth of her twins will be one of the lead themes along with her new life in the UK.

“Georgina sees this as a great opportunity to continue showing the world who is really is and how she’s transformed her life with Cristiano’s love and support.”

The first series of I Am Georgina became a top hit around the world after it started streaming in 190 countries.

Soy Georgina, its original title in Spanish, has quickly drawn comparisons with American reality TV series ‘Keeping Up With the Kardashians.’

Speaking on the show Ronaldo, 37 said in the documentary that he is “1000 per cent certain” he will end up marrying his girlfriend of nearly six years.

Cameras follow Ms Rodriquez jetting to events like the star-studded Venice Film Festival in the footballer’s £20 million Gulfsteam G20 private plane.

The deal for the second series is thought to have been sealed over the past week after a lightning trip Ms Rodriguez and Ronaldo made to Madrid last month to discuss the final details.

The pair were spotted enjoying a romantic dinner at a five-star hotel in the Spanish capital where they spent the night ahead of the crunch meeting.

Ms Rodriguez , who announced in December that her twins would be a boy and a girl, also used the visit to have a check-up at a VIP private hospital in Madrid where Spanish press say she will give birth.

The model already has a four-year-old daughter called Alana with Ronaldo and is called mum by his three children born to surrogate mothers.

She is believed to have earned a six-figure sum to let cameras into her life for the first Netflix series.

The money she has agreed with the streaming giant for series two has been kept a closely-guarded secret although one well-placed insider said last night it left the first windfall “in the shade.”

The star WAG, who met Cristiano while she earned £10 an hour at a Gucci store in Madrid in 2016 after working as an au pair in Bristol, has 34 million Instagram followers.

Ronaldo kids’ adaptation to their new lives in Cheshire following the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s shock return to Man United from Juventus for the start of the season will feature in the new docu-series.

Fans are also hoping the footballer’s doting mum Dolores Aveiro and Georgina’s mysterious mum Ana Maria Hernandez will also be included.

Ms Rodriguez explained their absence from the first series ahead of its premiere by saying: “It’s my show and they’re not in it because the circumstances didn’t give rise to it.”

Mum-of-four Dolores’ exclusion has not gone down well in Portugal where the Madeira-based 67-year-old has had to put the lid on claims she has had “ups and downs” with Ms Rodriguez despite describing her as her future “daughter-in-law” in interviews.

Ms Rodriguez described her big sister Ivana and her mum Ana Maria as her “little family of three” in a withering social media put-down after her stepsister Patricia Rodriguez accused her on Spanish TV recently of turning her back on her following their dad’s death three years ago in Argentina.

But next to nothing is known about Ana Maria, who unlike Ivana appears to shun the limelight and social media.
