Cristiano Ronaldo has opened up on his plans to marry girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez “one day.”
The Portuguese footballer, 34, was first linked to the model, 25, in 2016. They share a one-year-old daughter Alana Martina and are also raising Ronaldo’s three older children, Cristiano Jr, nine, and twins Eva and Mateo, two.
Ronaldo discussed the couple’s future plans in his upcoming interview with Piers Morgan, which is set to air on ITV tomorrow.
“We’ll be [married] one day for sure,” he told Morgan, according to The Mirror.
“It’s my mum’s dream as well. So, one day. Why not?”
He added: "Geo is part of me. She's helped me so much. I'm in love for her [sic] and I'm so passionate for her."
Rodriguez recently described how the pair first met in an interview with The Sun, describing it as “love at first sight.”
“Our first meeting was at Gucci, where I worked as a sales assistant,” she explained.
“Days later, we saw each other again at another brand’s event. It was then that we could talk in a relaxed atmosphere, outside my work environment.
“It was love at first sight for both.”
She added: “Being the partner of someone so famous is not easy but I wouldn’t change it for the world. What I feel for him is stronger than anything, any kind of pressure.”
Ronaldo’s hour-long interview special with Morgan also sees the Portugal captain break down in tears after watching video footage of his dead father.
A teaser clip shows Jose Dinis Aveiro praising his then 20-year-old son, one year before his death.
Speaking ahead of broadcast, Morgan said: “Ronaldo is a football genius and a global superstar. He’s also a compelling character and this is the most revealing interview he has ever given.
“Prepare to laugh and cry and be shocked and inspired.”
Cristiano Ronaldo Meets Piers Morgan is on ITV at 9pm on September 17.
