Cristiano Ronaldo responds to Manchester United's Alejandro Garnacho comments after Lionel Messi debate

Manchester United youngster Alejandro Garnacho received a response from Cristiano Ronaldo following the victory against Norwich City on Saturday.

United led 2-0 at the weekend thanks to a brace from Ronaldo. The first was a tap-in following a Norwich defensive error while the second saw the 37-year-old rise highest to guide a superb header home.

The Reds were pegged back just before half time by a Kieran Dowell header before the comeback was threatened through a Teemu Pukki strike. Fortunately for United, Ronaldo was on hand to fire home a free kick in front of the Stretford End to save the Reds' blushes.

Talk before the match centred around Garnacho and his academy teammate Hannibal Mejbri who both made it onto the bench for Ralf Rangnick's side. After an impressive season, which has included a call-up to the Argentina national squad, the 17-year-old is now getting first-team recognition.

At full time on Saturday, Ronaldo and Garnacho shared an embrace with the former handing his match ball to the teenager. Taking to Instagram, Garnacho was delighted and posted: "Greatest of all times.

"Dream big guys," before tagging Ronaldo in the post. The 37-year-old then responded to the post with a simple fist bump emoji which received more than 90,000 likes.

Sergio Aguero had earlier trolled the pair by responding to Garnacho: "Because you still didn't play with the best pa @leomessi." It all seemed to be very light-hearted from Aguero and the City great added a cool guy emoji for good measure.
