Cristiano Ronaldo has posted a message on social media after being criticised for storming down the tunnel after Manchester United's 1-1 draw with Burnley.
The Portuguese icon went straight to the changing rooms at Turf Moor after the Premier League game on Tuesday, not clapping the travelling fans as per tradition.
Ally McCoist expressed his disappointment at Ronaldo on Wednesday morning, with Gary Neville previously criticising his former team-mate on the issue.
"I do feel he should be acknowledging the fans, that should always be done," said McCoist.
"The travelling fans in particular, certainly in my experience, can be the more vocal of your team's support and they travel long distances and spend an awful lot of money.

"I can understand that sometimes the overall disappointment of defeat [or a draw, in this instance] getting to you and just wanting to get off the park.
"However, I think you should always go over to your travelling support and give them a thank you."
Former Premier League goalkeeper Shay Given added: "Ronaldo's a superstar, and he doesn't look overly happy at the moment.
"He stormed down the tunnel last night again; that doesn't sit well with away fans who've travelled to Burnley on a wet and cold night.
"It's not difficult to go and clap your own fans, so there's a lot of issues there at the minute."
Tuesday evening's result leaves United fifth in the Premier League, one point behind West Ham in fourth with a game in hand.
Arsenal and Tottenham, however, are just three points behind the Red Devils. The Gunners have two games in hand on Ralf Rangnick's side, while Spurs have three.
Ronaldo appeared to indirectly respond to the criticism on Wednesday afternoon, posting a picture of himself interacting with a young supporter at Turf Moor and reiterating that fans are the "best in football".
"Children are and will always be the best thing the world has to offer, and we must protect them at all costs," wrote the United legend on Twitter.
"Supporters are and will always be the best in football, and we must respect everything they face and endure for their clubs."
Ronaldo has a track record of storming down the tunnel at full-time, doing so against Chelsea, Everton and Newcastle earlier this season.
"It's annoyed me for about two months," said Neville on Ronaldo's actions in December.
"The best players in your team, it's devastating when they're showing that look and body language to the younger ones. They have to help them.
"They have to be the father, the grandparent in the team.
"I made massive mistakes at Man Utd but I had great senior players who would have a go at me but also put their arm around me I think there's something wrong.
"At the end of the day, I love that lad [Ronaldo], he's the best I've ever seen in my life at times, but don't run off like that. I'm not having that."
