Tottenham Hotspur are in talks with Juventus to bring attacker Dejan Kulusevski on loan after their failed moves for Luis Diaz and Adama Traore.
Should the Sweden international swap Serie A for the Premier League, it would see the former Juve pair come up against each other.
Ronaldo played alongside the 21-year-old in his final season in Italy after arriving from Atalanta in 2020. Although they couldn't repeat their stranglehold on the Scudetto, they did taste success in the Coppa Italia with Kulusevski finding the net in the final.
Antonio Conte is looking to strengthen his options in the wide areas and has turned to the 36-year-old's former teammate.
“He is a great talent. He will help us to win and achieve incredible things," the United star said following the clash between their respective national teams in 2020.
“I really like to see him, he has a great potential, and he’s an excellent player. I hope to play with him and score a lot of goals together."
Football.London reports that Conte, who faced the Swede during his time as Inter Milan boss, looks to acquire the striker on loan with an option to buy.
Should Kulusevski complete his move to the Reds' Champions League rivals, he would come face-to-face with his ex-Juve attacking partner at Old Trafford in March.
Just two points separate the two sides, with United in fourth.
