Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo has reportedly been denied the chance to leave Old Trafford after his wage demands scuppered a return to Serie A.
Corriere dello Sport claim that the star's agent, Jorge Mendes, has offered both Milan clubs the opportunity to sign the five-time Ballon d'Or winner. Both clubs are playing in the Champions League this season, something Ronaldo is desperate to do after United could only qualify for this season's Europa League.
It is reported that contact was made at the end of June, with both clubs rejecting the chance to sign the star due to his wage demands.
