Cristiano Ronaldo could play part in £43.5m Arsenal deal amid Mykhaylo Mudryk transfer reminder

Here is your Arsenal transfer roundup on Sunday, November 20.

Ronaldo impacts Arsenal's winger search

According to 90min, the Red Devils have set the January transfer window as the chance to sign Arsenal transfer target Cody Gakpo for £43.5milion. The Dutch international, who was linked with Manchester United in the previous summer transfer window, is seen as a potential replacement for Cristiano Ronaldo.

Arsenal were unable to sign a winger in the summer transfer window, despite the clear need to strengthen in the wide areas. Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli have a lot of pressure to perform until the next opportunity to address this area of the pitch opens, but there is a risk of burnout, which Gakpo could be the solution to.

He played 42 games on the left-hand side for PSV last season and played another three games as a centre-forward. However, he has shown a clinical nature from whatever position he is playing in, as he scored 19 goals from the left wing and two goals in three games as a striker

Mudryk issues another reminder

The Ukrainian international has sent another transfer reminder as to why the Gunners should sign him. While the Gunners are currently on a winter break due to the World Cup that is due to begin later today, Mudryk scored an impressive goal for Shakhtar on Saturday afternoon.

The winger opened the scoring for the visitors against fellow Ukrainian side Dnipro. Unfortunately for Mudryk, his side would go on to lose the match 2-1, but his impressive solo effort in the first half was certainly a highlight despite the defeat.

Amid recent interest in Mudryk, Shakhtar Donetsk's deputy Sporting Director Carlo Nicolini spoke on a potential deal vis Calciomercato. He said: “Arsenal and Manchester City are two teams that have taken an interest but there are also other clubs."

Barcelona transfer list Depay

According to Spanish news outlet AS, Barcelona will sell the forward in January. This could be due to the economic restrictions that prevent the Catalan side from signing players in the January transfer window.

Barcelona president Joan Laporta told Spanish news agency EFE: "We had to make some levers, which were economic operations that saved the club from ruin, and now the club is in economic recovery. But despite that, according to the rules of financial fair play of the Spanish league, we can not sign."

And the Gunners have an excellent chance to sign him on a free transfer as Mundo Deportivo has also reported that Depay aims to leave on a free in January, meaning that there will be a minimal risk if Arsenal are to complete a deal.
