Cristiano Ronaldo claims Sir Alex Ferguson is on his side as he reels off Man Utd faults

Cristiano Ronaldo has suggested Manchester United legend Sir Alex Ferguson agrees with him on the way the club is being mismanaged in an explosive tell-all interview.

The Portugal captain spoke to Piers Morgan Uncensored and aired seemingly every grievance he has with those at the top of the United hierarchy for all to hear. Ronaldo took aim at just about everyone, including current manager Erik ten Hag and his interim predecessor Ralf Rangnick.

One of the main takeaways from his shocking rant was when he mentioned his former boss Ferguson, as he claimed: "He knows better than anybody that the club is not on the path they deserve to be. He knows. Everyone knows. The people who don't see that… it's because they don't want to see; they are blind.

"I don't know what is going on, but since Sir Alex Ferguson left, I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero."

It is unclear what Ferguson's stance actually is, given the Scotsman has remained silent on the issues that currently plague the Red Devils both on the pitch and at the boardroom level.

Ronaldo went on to express his annoyance with the appointment of Rangnick following Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's dismissal in November 2021.

HAVE YOUR SAY! Can Ronaldo realistically ever play for Man Utd again after this interview? Comment below

"How a club as [big] as Manchester United, after they sack Ole, they bring sporting director Ralf Rangnick, which is something that nobody understands.

"This guy is not even a coach, a big club like Manchester United bringing in a sporting director as coach surprised not only me but the world.

"Nothing has changed [from his first spell at United] not the pool, the jacuzzi not even the gym, even some points of technology, the kitchen and the chefs who I appreciate - lovely people, they stopped in time which surprised me a lot - I thought I would see different things."

The comments will surely rock the United dressing room to the very core and leave the club with no choice but to try and part ways with the 37-year-old during the January transfer window.

Ferguson has often stuck by Ronaldo during both of the forward's spells at Old Trafford, but in truth, it is unlikely that he condones this kind of conduct from United's number seven.

His comments on current boss Ten Hag may be the nail in the coffin as Ronaldo admitted: "I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.

"If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you."
