World superstar Cristiano Ronaldo has claimed Erik Ten Hag and multiple other figures wanted him out of Manchester United.
The 37-year-old has unleashed during an explosive interview with Piers Morgan as he reopened old wounds which are all-but set to end his Old Trafford career. Ronaldo had returned to the fold under the Dutchman despite their differences, however, a path back into the fold appears closed off after sniping his employers before heading off to the World Cup with Portugal.
Speaking in an illuminating sitdown, he told the Sun: "Manchester United tried to force me out. Not only the manager, but also the other guys who are around the club. I felt betrayed. I feel that some people didn’t want me at Manchester United, not only this year but last season too".
And speaking on Ten Hag, he slammed the Dutchman and claimed he doesn't respect the man who banished him following a public fallout He added “I don’t have respect for him because he doesn’t show respect for me. If you don’t have respect for me, I’m never gonna have respect for you.”
