Cristiano Ronaldo has broken his silence to declare that he has 'absolute focus' on the Portugal national team ahead of the Qatar 2022 World Cup.
Ronaldo has made global headlines after it was revealed on Sunday that he had taken part in an interview with Piers Morgan. In the initial clips which have been published by Morgan, Ronaldo reiterates that he feels disrespected and betrayed by United following his 2021 summer move.
A new clip was released on Monday evening on the presenter's TalkTV show 'Piers Morgan Uncensored' where Ronaldo claimed that he did not take part in pre-season training because he was concerned for the health of his child Bella. The full interview will be played in a special two-part edition of Uncensored on Wednesday and Thursday this week.

While most of the talk is currently concentrating on what is happening at a domestic level for Ronaldo, the 37-year-old insisted that his sole mindset is on the World Cup just hours after taking part in a training session alongside his international teammates. Taking to Instagram, he wrote: "Total and absolute focus on national team work.
"United group, towards one objective: Realize the dream of all Portuguese people." Those wishing to see how Ronaldo gets on in the prestigious tournament will have to wait a fair while for Portugal's first match.
Having been drawn in Group H, the Portuguese do not play their first game of the tournament until Thursday, November 24 when they take on Ghana in Doha. United supporters will likely be watching keenly to see if Ronaldo performs better for his national team this winter.
