Steve Nicol has blasted Manchester United forward Cristiano Ronaldo for being 'completely disengaged' with the club after being seen leaving Old Trafford before the end of their match against Rayo Vallecano. Ronaldo was making his first appearance of pre-season for United.
The Portugal captain has expressed his desire to leave United after the club failed to qualify for the Champions League last season, but Erik ten Hag is said to be adamant his number seven will remain at the club come the end of the transfer window.
United, who put in their worst Premier League season last term, re-signed Ronaldo from Juventus last summer, but, at 37 years old, he has informed the club of his desire to be playing Champions League football.

Ronaldo, who was substituted at half-time, was spotted leaving Old Trafford with Diogo Dalot before the full-time whistle and Liverpool legend Nicol wasn't impressed.
He said: "The one thing it tells you is he’s completely disengaged with the club and the team, as simple as that.
"I’ve seen and I know players and I’ve done it myself who have left before the end of the game but I’ve not been in the team, I’ve not been in the squad and I’ve been ready to leave - I’ve been disgruntled. He’s disengaged with what’s going on at the club. This guy actually played and then left before the end, that has got ‘get me out of here’ written all over it."
