Cristiano Ronaldo was back at Manchester United's training ground on Thursday morning for talks with Erik ten Hag, just hours after he left Old Trafford during his side's win over Tottenham in the Premier League.
United put in a tremendous performance to secure a 2-0 win on Wednesday night, but the impressive victory was overshadowed somewhat by Ronaldo's antics in the closing moments of the match.
After Anthony Elanga and Christian Eriksen had been introduced in the 87th minute, the Portuguese forward started walking towards the tunnel in the 90th minute with United 2-0 up and two substitutions remaining, despite there being another five minutes of added time still to play.

Speaking after the win, Ten Hag said he would address the Ronaldo issue on Thursday: "Yeah, I don't pay attention to that. We will deal with that tomorrow," he said. "We want to focus on this team. It was a magnificent performance from all 11 players.
"I have to mention, I said 11 players, I have to correct myself: it was a performance also from the subs who came on who had a good role and, once again, it was a squad performance.
"And, in answer to your question, we deal with that tomorrow and what we have seen today was 11 players who defend, 11 players who attack there was a lot of dynamic in the attack as well. I am pleased with that but I won't say I am totally satisfied because good is not good enough, that has to be the standard here."
Ronaldo was pictured arriving back at Carrington at 10:30am on Thursday and did not stop for fans who had congregated outside the training ground hoping to meet him. Ronaldo also lowered his visor upon his arrival, seemingly in order to obscure his face from any pictures.
It is the second time the Portugal international has left a United match early under Ten Hag, following his half-time withdrawal in the pre-season friendly against Rayo Vallecano in July. The United manager described Ronaldo's early departure then as "unacceptable".
