Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo has hit out at former teammate and football pundit Gary Neville in his explosive Talk TV interview with Piers Morgan. The Portuguese international claimed that the ex-defender was no friend of his and they will not be having dinner together in the future.
It comes after an outburst from the 37-year-old in which he has criticised plenty about his current employers, creating further questions over his future at the club. The forward has been urged to make a move to the Emirates Stadium, though that seems unlikely given the current project.
While plenty of his criticism has been aimed at the current situation at United, he also took aim at Sky Sports pundit Neville, who had previously questioned his former teammate. The striker questioned whether he was purposefully inflammatory to "be more famous" too.

Ronaldo told Morgan: "To listen as ex-colleagues or team-mates criticise you, when they only see one point of view. It’s easy. It’s easy to criticise, I don’t know if you have a job in television that they must criticise to be more famous. I really don’t understand it. It’s hard when you see people who was in the dressing room with you criticising that way.”
He was then asked if his name is used to gain more attention, to which he responded: "I think they take advantage of that because they are not stupid. I’m the number one followed guy in the world. It’s not by coincidence.”
It's a statement from Ronaldo that Arsenal fans can agree with, having felt as though the pundit has been overly critical of their side in his assessment over the recent years and months. Many mocked Neville on Twitter after, with one user named @Welbeast tweeting: "Gary Neville: 'I know this Ronaldo interview doesn't look good for Manchester United but I still don't think Arsenal will finish in the top 4'"
Despite the pundit often being critical of the Gunners, he had claimed on a recent episode of the Overlap that he preferred Arsenal to Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool.
