Cristiano Ronaldo has agreed a €500 million (£432m) contract to join a new club after the World Cup, according to multiple reports.
Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr have splashed the cash to lure Ronaldo to the Gulf in an eye-watering deal, with reports on Thursday claiming an initial agreement has been reached.
The 37-year-old is without a club after mutually agreeing to terminate his contract with Manchester United early, having publicly spoken out against United during a controversial interview with Piers Morgan earlier this month.
Ronaldo received no payoff after ending his £500,000-a-week deal seven months early, but has now reportedly agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract with Al-Nassr.
The report claims that Ronaldo would earn €200m (£173m) per season in a deal running until the summer of 202, by which time the five-time Ballon d’Or winner would be in his 40s.
Al Nassr are one of Saudi Arabia’s most successful clubs, winning nine league titles, and currently sit second in the Saudi Professional League.
