Virat Kohli has been crowned leading run scorer at the 2023 Cricket World Cup.
The India star pummelled his 50th ODI century in Wednesday's semi-final against New Zealand, breaking Sachin Tendulkar's record in the process, before a half century against Australia in Sunday's final to leave his run total at 765 for the tournament despite India's defeat.
Kohli has also now hit more runs in the Cricket World Cup than any other player has previously managed.
In the final, Rohit Sharma's knock of 47 took him past South Africa star Quinton de Kock into second place. He made just three runs as the Proteas suffered semi-final disappointment to bring an end to their tournament.
Shreyas Iyer was unable to add substantially to his total against Australia, leaving him outside the top five of the final leaderboard.
