A pilot has died after a light plane crashed in southern Queensland.
Emergency crews responded to a call after 12.15pm AEST on Thursday after reports of a plane crashing in a field near Warwick.
Police and several ambulance crews arrived at the Palgrave paddock, with a RACQ LifeFlight helicopter also sent to the scene.
However police later confirmed the pilot had died.
It is believed no one else was on board.
Firefighters also arrived at the field after the crash sparked a grassfire which was subsequently contained.
