Create your own handmade Christmas crackers

Snap, crackle, and pop your way into the festive season with our hands-on Christmas cracker-making workshop! In just 90 minutes, you'll master the art of crafting these timeless British Christmas essentials.

Christmas crackers have been a festive staple ever since London confectioner Tom Smith patented his first designs in 1847. This year, we’re bringing a fresh twist to tradition, teaming up with Covent Garden’s boutique craft salon, Tea and Crafting, to offer a workshop that’s all about creating your own bespoke set.

You’ll learn a foolproof method for rolling your own crackers—perfect for making more at home, year after year. No more wasting money on crackers filled with tacky plastic toys. Make your own and fill them with treats you actually want. Get creative and make them truly yours.

What to expect:

  • Craft a set of beautiful, bespoke crackers
  • Take home templates and the know-how to continue creating them year after year
  • Enjoy a festive atmosphere with mince pies, and plenty of Christmas cheer
  • Bring a friend, or make new ones as you immerse yourself in the spirit of the season

Join us for a fun-filled evening of creativity, and don’t forget to include a few of your best (or worst!) cracker jokes to keep the laughter rolling on Christmas Day.

The location:

Nestled in the heart of Covent Garden, Tea and Crafting is London's premier boutique craft studio. Founded by Jane Gois, a celebrated craft expert, this creative haven has been inspiring and educating Londoners since 2009. Jane's expertise has graced the screens of popular programmes like BBC's Katie Piper's Breakfast Show and ITV's Lorraine, bringing her passion for crafting to a national audience. At Tea and Crafting, you'll experience the perfect blend of expert guidance, creative exploration, and the warm ambience of a neighbourhood studio.
