Traffic has been disrupted by a crash near roadworks on a busy motorway during rush hour. A collision on the M74 near Junction 6 at the Hamilton Interchange was reported just after 7am today.
Traffic Scotland has tweeted to say that police are on their way to the scene as traffic builds up. The crash happened near the ongoing roadworks on the motorway, which are around three miles from Hamilton town centre.
The carriageway is currently restricted in both directions due to a collision in the roadworks area.
Police and the Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) are in attendance.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said there was limited information on the accient, but that it is though three vehicles were involved, and there don't appear to be any serious casualties.
