Police are investigating after seven parked cars were damaged in an early morning crash. South Wales Police said officers were called to a crash on Collenna Road, Tonyrefail, at about 2.30am on Tuesday, February 7.
Officers responded to reports that one vehicle had crashed into a number of parked cars, with seven damaged vehicles recorded on their log. A resident who lives on the street said almost all parked cars in the path were damaged, with just two remaining that did not need to be towed away due to damage. The resident said there were around 11 cars parked on the road at the time of the crash.
Police confirmed that no arrests have been made and that officers are continuing to investigate the collision. A spokesperson for South Wales Police said: “At 2.30am on February 7, Police were called to a road traffic collision on Collenna Road, Tonyrefail. One vehicle crashed and collided with a number of parked cars. Police are continuing to investigate the collision.”
A similar incident happened on the street in April 2021 when a driver damaged several vehicles in a crash Speaking to WalesOnline after that incident one resident, Paris Summer said that her mother's vehicle had been "written off" in the collision with several others damaged.
