A crash has closed a major Ayrshire road this morning.
Emergency services raced to the A77 North bound near Minishant around 7.50am today.
Police and an ambulance have attended but it is not yet known if anyone has been injured.
Traffic Scotland announced the busy trunk road is closed in both directions between the village of Minishant and Nether Auchendrane on twitter.
A diversion is in place and commuters have been told to expect longer than normal journey times.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 7.50am on Monday, 17 January, officers were called to a report of a crash on the A77 near to Minishant. Officers are at the scene."
