Craig Revel Horwood left This Morning hosts Cat Deeley and Ben Shephard stunned after hinting that there’s more to Bruno Tonioli’s Strictly Come Dancing exit than meets the eye. Bruno, a fan-favorite judge, broke hearts in 2022 when he stepped away from the BBC dance competition after nearly two decades. At the time, he blamed the departure on travel difficulties and Covid-19 disruptions, explaining that juggling both the UK and US versions of the show had become too much.
But Craig has now hinted that this might not be the full story. In an eye-opening moment, he teased that he’s ready to spill “what really happened” as part of his upcoming Revelations tour—a tell-all Q&A session where no question is off-limits, reported Wales Online.
Marking his milestone 60th birthday, Craig is shaking things up, not just with gossip but with music too. Encouraged by his mum, he’s taking a bold step into singing, paying tribute to icons like Shirley Bassey and even channeling Ursula from The Little Mermaid on stage.
While chatting with Cat and Ben about his tour, Craig casually dropped a bombshell. “I will be doing a Q&A, and I am hoping that people will ask me the hardest questions.” A wide-eyed Ben wanted to clarify, asking: “So you’re literally going to open up the floor to the audience and say ‘anything you want to ask?’”
Craig confirmed: “Yes, they can, and they can also do it through texting, and they’ll text my lovely pianist Ben Goddard, who’s gorgeous. We’re doing a couple of duets together, so it’s not just me and Shirley Bassey and Ursula.” He doubled down: “I am accepting anything. I will answer any question I am asked, whether it’s on Strictly, my personal life, anything.”
Cat, clearly intrigued, asked: “Are you telling a few showbiz stories along the way?” Her jaw nearly dropped at Craig’s response. Without hesitation, he began listing some of the juicy gossip fans can expect on tour. “I’ll be talking about what Shirley Ballas was really like. I’ll be talking about why Bruno really left.” Then, with a mischievous pause, he added: “No one knows that, do they?”
The hosts gasped, and then Craig smirked, dropping the biggest hint yet: “Ohh, that might have been for money.” While the revelation left the hosts reeling, Craig made it clear that there was no bad blood, gushing about his love for Bruno and fondly recalling their time together on a travel show. “It was spectacular.” It looks like Strictly fans are in for a treat with Craig’s Revelations tour—if they’re ready for the truth!
