Craig Revel Horwood apologises to Anton du Beke over embarrassing blunder on Strictly

He's known for his sharp tongue but judge Craig Revel Horwood really put his foot in it on tonight's Strictly Come Dancing while critiquing Anton du Beke.

Craig was giving his opinion on Anton's performance as spy Austin Powers in a wig and glasses when he praised his 'fake teeth', which turned out to be Anton's own real set of gnashers.

"They're not fake their all my own dear," Anton was quick to correct, but Craig didn't seem to hear and hosts Tess Daly was in fits of laughter at the blunder.

"They're not fake are they?" she asked him to clarify.

"They're all mine," he replied.

Craig, who is playing the Wicked Queen in the Manchester panto this Christmas, then realised his error and asked: "They're not fake? Oh god really?"

"Slightly embarrassing," said Tess.

Craig, clapping his hand over his mouth, apologised to the Strictly favourite.

"I'm sorry Anton," he said.

"It's probably the glasses and the wig and everything."

Anton, a British ballroom and Latin dancer, has been a professional on the BBC One celebrity dancing show since it began in 2004.

In week three Movie Week Anton and his partner Emma Barton performed the Salsa to Soul Bossa Nova by Quincy Jones from the Austin Powers films.

He got into character as Powers and Emma, who plays Honey Mitchell in the soap EastEnders, took on Liz Hurley's role.
